Okay, show of hands. Has anyone out there not heard of Etsy? Etsy calls itself “your place to buy and sell all things handmade or vintage and supplies.” From clothing to candles, toys, soaps, pottery, crochet, jewelry, quilts, woodworking and “everything else,” if someone makes it by hand, you’ll find it here.
Now, a pair of twentysomethings has taken this idea and focused it on food. Foodzie is kind of an Etsy for gourmets. It brings together passionate food artisans and shoppers hungry for handmade, small-batch treats. Besides expected goodies like jams, chocolates and baked goods, you’ll find some surprises—cheeses, cured meats, produce and condiments, for instance.
Just in time for the holidays, Foodzie is the subject of my latest USA Character Approved Blog post. To see how easy it is to find that perfect stocking stuffer for a foodie friend—or to treat yourself to perfect handmade chocolate truffles, perhaps—click here.
Thats awesome! I love Etsy. I can’t wait to check out Foodzie. Thanks for the info!
I just checked it out, its amazing! I am trying to find a venue to sell some of my fig jam, I am overloaded! This looks like a good place to look into! Thanks for the info!
I’m sure you’ll find some stuff you like, Donna.
Excellent, Dime Store Foodie! Good luck and keep us posted.
Thanks Terry! Love the blog!
