WE’RE NOT SHARING A RECIPE THIS WEEK. You’re reading this post when you’re reading it, but we’re writing it on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Eight days after the death of George Floyd. Right now, in these unprecedented—and many would say unpresidented—times, no one is thinking much about cooking. We’re thinking about safety. And justice. About something so broken for so long.
Take care of yourselves. Care about others—even, and maybe especially, those you don’t know. And may never know. Do what you can do to help, and be safe. We’ll be back next week.
Good week to take off. Weird times. On one level I don’t understand things at all. On another, I understand all too well. 🙁
❤️❤️❤️
Savoring every word. Nicely said, Terry. Love the pic.
Unpresidented. Yup.
I agree with you and Jeri ~ unpresidented is the correct word.
If you are pausing to offer prayers for our nation…..great! But I AM cooking! My family would not understand if I said I’m not cooking because of what’s going on around us. Just me thoughts….
Thanks, everyone. And Deb, we’re taking off writing about cooking, but trust me, we are cooking every day. Since everything shut down, we have not eaten anything that was not cooked by either Marion or me. Sometimes it’s perfunctory—get something on the table now. But we’re also enjoying a lot of the cooking we’re doing.
